Over his 30+ year career in the dance music industry, Alex has (among other things) held down residencies with legendary clubs like DC’s Buzz, SF’s Spundae, and Boston’s Avalon; managed Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi Shop and Yoshitoshi.com; appeared on numerous syndicated dance music radio shows, including John Digweed's UK show and Thump Radio here in the US; hosted more than 250 episodes of the Good People Better Rise Up! electronic music podcast; toured extensively with his long-time studio mate Dave Ralph, produced dozens of original tracks and remixes, and well... you get the idea.
When COVID hit, Alex necessarily put his travelling schedule on hold, turning his attention to building a new production studio deep in the mountains of Colorado. PHDJE Studios sits dead center in the highest town in North America, just a few miles down the road from the Molly Mines of Climax Colorado, a combination that undoubtedly makes him the highest DJ in North America. Along with several of his mates, he’s formed the Bootycorn Sound System, a DJing and production collective determined to bring the fun and the funk to post-lockdown dancefloors worldwide.
